Yesterday, 100 years ago was the start of the German Spring Offensive- the 2nd worst day for the British army in WW1 after 1 July 1916 – day one on the Somme. Our 6th Battalion was in the 9th Division located in the infamous Flesquieres Salient, getting roughed up
