BORDERERS CHRONICLE 2018

18 October 2017

THE BORDERERS CHRONICLE 2018

Good afternoon Gentlemen,

I am beginning to put together the forthcoming 2017 edition of the “Borderers Chronicle”. I would be most grateful if you could provide the contact details of the individual from your respective Branch which you wish displayed on page 2 (Branch contact details). This is usually the Branch Secretary, however it can be the Chairman/President if you prefer – one name only please. Name, address and telephone number will suffice.

Northern Ireland Branch: I am happy to be listed as your contact point via this office if you prefer.

Please give serious consideration about supplying any articles of interest for inclusion into the publication, it does not have to be KOSB centric, it could relate to veterans affairs, events, services, charities that your Branch or any Branch individual has had any involvement in during the year. Photographs are extremely welcomed and I would ask that they be accompanied by a description of the event and the names of those within the picture. Copies of original photographs should be forwarded electronically, unfortunately we are unable to reproduce photographs from newspaper cuttings due to their poor quality (pixilation) and potential copyright aspects. If in any doubt then please do not hesitate to contact me for advice.

Please do not hide your Branch light under a bushel and tell us what you have been up to over the past twelve months – nothing is ever too small for inclusion.

Unfortunately on a sadder note, we have seen a large number of Borderers pass away during the past twelve months and I would like to remember as many as possible in the Obituaries section. If you are in a position to assist in providing a short obituary, and photograph where possible for anyone you know who has passed away during the year I would be most grateful for your assistance. An acknowledgement of an Borderer in the Regimental magazine is the least we can do.

Thank you very much for your time and assistance.

Kind regards,

Peter.
