Promulgated in the Queen’s Birthday Honours List 2016. Brian McLeod, fine Borderer and former First Battalion Colour Sergeant has been awarded the British Empire Medal for services to the Royal British Legion Scotland and his Hawick community. All Borderers send Brian their congratulations on this well deserved award.

The award presentation will be made by the Lord Lieutenant of Roxburgh at the Scottish Borders Council Headquarters, Newtown St. Boswells, 1800 hrs on Monday 03 October. Borderers wishing attend are requested to inform the Association Secretary by email to secretary@kosb.co.uk  no later than 1700 hrs on Wednesday 28 September. Late notice is regretted.
