Captain Jim McAllister – Obituary

With sadness we inform you of the death of Captain Jim McAllister on Tuesday 1st of November. Jim’s KOSB career included active service in Malaya, Aden, Borneo and Northern Ireland. He was RSM, Families Officer and MTO of the 1st Battalion.

Funeral arrangements.

A Requiem Mass will be held at 12 noon on Monday 7th November at Our Lady & St Oswin, Front Street, Tynemouth, NE30 4DZ. The family have requested family flowers only and a post service reception will be held in The Gibralter Rock, 2 East Street, Tynemouth NE30 4EB.

Internment. A further service will be conducted at 10.15am on Friday 11th November at St Mary’s Church, Belford Road, Fort William PD33 6BT, followed by internment at the Glen Nevis Cemetery. Following the internment a reception will be held in The West End Hotel, Fort William.

 The King’s Own Scottish Borderers Association has extended its sincere condolences and sympathy to Jim’s wife Wilma and wider family members at this very difficult time.
