Donald Henry Smith KOSB – Notification

It is with deep regret that we inform you of the death of Donald Henry Smith KOSB who sadly died on Saturday 11th November 2017 in Shoeburyness, Essex aged 92.
Donald landed in Normandy with the 1st Battalion King’s Own Scottish Borderers 1944 and was subsequently casevaced later in the campaign due to leg wounds sustained by shrapnel.
On behalf of its members, the King’s Own Scottish Borderers Association has extended its sincere condolences and sympathy to Donald’s daughter Deena and wider family members at this particularly difficult time.
Funeral arrangements will be notified at the earliest opportunity.
