MINDEN 1ST AUG 2003 IRAQ

Borderers,

as we celebrate MINDEN today, it was a very different celebration in 2003. At that time the 1st Bn were on Operations in Iraq, despite the operational intensity we were able to hold a full Minden parade in Camp Abu Naji south of Al Amarah in Maysan Province Iraq. The roses were flown in from the UK and arrived in pristine condition. A few photos of the parade are below.
