MINDEN 2017

We celebrate one of our most auspicious Battle Honours on Saturday 29th of July at The Barracks, Berwick-Upon-Tweed, indeed throughout the weekend. All Borderers, their families and friends are invited to attend. 

DETAILS OF THE DAY.

0830 hrs. The Barracks Open.  The KOSB Museum and Barracks will open for all Borderers, family and friends.

1100 hrs. Parade Forms Up at the rear of the “Clock Block”. Participating Borderers are requested to wear Regimental tie, Glengarry and medals. Seating will be provided for families, friends and any Borderer unable to parade.

1110 hrs. Nancy’s Dancers.  Whilst the Parade Musters at the rear of the “Clock Block”, spectators will be entertained by a display of Highland Dancing by the renowned “Nancy’s Dancers”.

1145 hrs.  March on. Led by the Pipes and Drums of RBL Berwick and Eyemouth and Inter Scaldis. Followed by the Minden Address and presentation of roses.

1230 hrs.  March through Berwick-Upon-Tweed.

1300 hrs.  Return to Barracks.  Parade Dismiss and retire to the marquee for “refreshments, pies and much lamp swinging” A cash bar will operate from 1200 until 1600 hrs.

????  hrs.  Probable return to “The Battery” via the King’s Head!
