MUSEUM UPDATE AS AT 21 SEP 2020

Borderers,

The Museum Trustees have appointed a new member of staff at RHQ to replace Ian Martin. The post title has been changed to Museum Officer and has been filled after a rigorous selection process by Gerry O’Neill.

Many of you will remember Gerry from his service with the 1st Bn during the 1980s, 90s and up to amalgamation.

Both the EXO and Museum Officer are on the same phone number 01289 331811 as this is now the only number for RHQ. Please be patient regarding answering, as much of our work is away from offices, please leave a message and your call will be returned.

The Museum Trustees have agreed that the Museum will remain closed to the public until Easter 2021 due to C19 restrictions. Borderers can visit if they follow current guidelines/instructions however you must phone ahead and make an appointment.

This forced closure will give us time to update and maintain the Museum exhibits.
