MAJOR GRAHAM ALLT – NOTIFICATION
It is with great sadness that we have to inform you of the death of Major GRAHAM ALLT who died this morning Friday 28 June aged 89. He joined 1KOSB as a National service soldier and was commissioned into the KOSB in 1951 serving in various Regimental and external posts until 1979.
Funeral arrangements will be notified when known.

WARRANT OFFICER GEORGE ROSS – NOTIFICATION

With much regret we inform you of the death of WO2 Geordie Ross who died on Tuesday 25 June. He was the oldest of the five Ross brothers who served in the Battalion during the 1970s/80s and 90s.

A funeral service will take place at St John’s and Kings Park Parish Church, Dalkeith, EH22 1HJ, on Wednesday, July 3, at 2.30pm, followed by interment thereafter at Cockpen (New) Cemetery, Bonnyrigg at approximately 3.15pm.

EDINBURGH ARMED FORCES DAY – SATURDAY 22 JUNE 2019

Edinburgh Branch Borderers following the march along George Street for Armed Forces Day in Edinburgh on Sat 22 June 2019.  The event was brought forward form the national date to avoid clashing with Royal Week. 

HHQ OFFICES AND MUSEUM TEMPORARY CLOSURE 3 – 6 JULY 2019

Due to essential H&S works HHQ Offices and museum will be closed to all, AD 02 July until FP 06 July 2019, no phone calls or emails into HHQ will be answered until Mon 08 July 2019.  Matters of urgency should be directed by email to webmaster@kosb.co.uk

JOHN SCOTT – NOTIFICATION

It is with great sadness we announce the death of John Scott a proud Selkirk man who served with the Borderers 97-04, most notably as CO’s driver, thereafter with the Argyll’s and 5 SCOTS.
