Wigtown Book Festival

13 September 2017

Borderers,

If any of you find yourselves within shouting distance of Wigtown in Dumfries and Galloway on Friday 22nd September, consider dropping into the Wigtown Book Festival.

At 1pm in the McNeillie tent, the recently published Regimental History of the King’s Own Scottish Borderers “Always a Borderer” features. Its author, Iain Gale, discusses the book, the regiment and some key events pertinent to this part of our recruiting area.  He will be available for Q&A as well.

You will then have a chance to chat with Iain and have him sign a copy of the book.

Please support this Regimental event deep in the heart of Borderers country. It will help keep the flame burning and remind people of the key links between the KOSB and its communities.

Tickets (£5) are available on the day or via the festival website (link attached).

I have asked for this email to be widely distributed in the hope that Borderers from parts other than Dumfries and Galloway may be passing or even make a special trip.

We look forward to seeing you there.”

Yours Aye.
