LIEUTENANT WILLIAM DONALD FAIRGRIEVE

Borderers it is with great sadness that we notify you of the passing of LIEUTENANT WILLIAM DONALD FAIRGRIEVE on 25 June 2020.

Donald served with the 1st Bn 1957-1959 seeing service in Malaya. An outstanding athlete he represented his Regiment, the Army and Scotland. A keen supporter of all things Borderer, Donald was a key figure in the campaign to save the Regiment in 1994 and 2006. Donald was regular volunteer at the museum putting in many hours of work right up until March this year.

At this sad time our thoughts are with his wife Pat and three children.
