LT GUSTAVUS COULSON VC 18 MAY 1901

Borderers, on this day in 1901 the Regiment would earn its first Victoria Cross, awarded to LT GUSTAVUS HB COULSON for gallantry in action during the Boer War.

” Members of the Association will recall we were looking at arranging a virtual tour of the Coulson VC battle ,and a visit to his grave, to be viewed on line. As might be expected ,the South African battlefield guide has been prevented from doing this , due to local restrictions, and apologises for his inability to deliver this to KOSB Association members.”
