PRIVATE JAMES ROBERTSON

Borderers, it is with great sadness that we notify of the passing of PRIVATE JAMES ROBERTSON on 01 March 2021 aged 98 yrs.
Jim was one of our very few remaining WW2 veterans having served with the 4th Bn 1942-1946. He was wounded during the assault on Walcheren in November 1944.
His funeral will take place at 1230 on Tuesday 9 March at DRYFESDALE CEMETERY LOCKERBIE. Due to COVID 19 restrictions it will be family only however Borderers who wish to pay their respects will be able to line the route observing social distancing rules.
