it is with great sadness we notify of the death of SERGEANT ARCHIE THORNTON on 22 May 2024.
Archie served with the 1st Bn 1960-1977 after having previously served in the Royal Artillery. He was known to all Borderers from his work in RHQ from 1977-2001.
His funeral will be held on 5th June at 1100hrs at Borders Crematorium Melrose TD6 9HA.
