It is with great sadness that I inform you that Sgt Bill Chippendale died at his home in Jedburgh on Monday 25 May 2026. ‘Chippy’ served in the 1960’s/70’s in B Coy & C Coy. A hugely efficient and popular NCO with a wealth of experience and knowledge, delivered with excellent man-management skills. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him.
His funeral service will take place at the Borders Crematorium, Melrose, TD6 9HA, on Wednesday 10 June 2026 at 1130hrs. All Borderers attending are asked to wear Glengarry, Regimental tie and medals.
