SIGNAL PLATOON REUNION: SATURDAY 11 OCTOBER 2025

The 2025 Signal Platoon reunion will take place in The Scots Guards Club, 2 Clifton Terrace, Haymarket, Edinburgh, EH12 5DR on Saturday 11 October. Bar opens at 18:00 hrs and closes at 23:00 hrs. Sandwiches and sausage rolls etc will be provided.

I am happy to say that the majority of attendees have made the effort to pay in advance which will help on the night. Those that want to pay in advance can still do so by Digital Banking to:

The club does not have a dress code for casual usage, but I would ask those attending to please observe that we are guests and our behaviour and appearance will ensure we leave a good impression should we wish to use the club again. I therefore request that Regimental Tie be worn.

Eleven attendees have asked for accommodation of which six have paid up front. I would be extremely grateful if those who still want a bed to contact me by email hugh.docherty@outlook.com As a reminder, the location for the accommodation is: Edinburgh West Side Hostel, 479 Gorgie Road, Edinburgh, EH11 3AD. It would also be helpful for those requiring accommodation let me know in advance of when they intend to arrive at the hostel. Free Parking, Wi-Fi is available, full bedding included. The Laich pub is below the accommodation.

Please let me know if you have any mobility or health issues so that arrangements can be made for the venue or hostel.

On the night, the plaque/photo shown below will be available as a keep-sake at a cost of £2. Should anyone like a plaque, they should let me know so that your name (or position if wanted) can be placed on it and is ready for you. These are being provided by Gogs Little, so if you want one please let me know in advance.
