THE DERRYARD ACTION 30 YRS AGO

Borderers, tomorrow Fri 13 Dec marks the 30th anniversary of the DERRYARD ACTION in which the last two Borderers were KIA in NI and 2 DCMs were awarded. There will be commemorative events at the graves of LCPL MICHAEL PATERSON (KIRKCOWAN), PTE JIM HOUSTON (COLCHESTER) on Fri 13 at 1100. ISCOTS are also commemorating at Palace Bks Belfast where the Officer’s and Sgt’s Messes will parade and read an account of the action and the DCM citations for Cpls DUNCAN and HARVEY.
