This is the last call for attendees, with a deadline of mid-afternoon today, Tuesday 10th, for final replies; we need to let RHC know today what our attendance is, both for seating and catering purposes.

THE FUNERAL OF SERGEANT BILL SPEAKMAN VC

The Funeral Service will take place on Thursday 19 July at 1400hrs in the Wren Chapel of the Royal Hospital Chelsea, to which all Borderers are invited. Please note ‘Attendance’ below.

Dress. Glengarry, Regimental Tie, Medals, Blazer and Trews or suit.

Attendance.  Wren Chapel seats 400. There is no official restriction on numbers, but Royal Hospital Chelsea would be most grateful for an idea of numbers attending from the Association, for purposes of seating and catering. Following the service all those attending are invited to refreshments in the Chelsea Pensioners’ Club. Therefore Borderers planning to attend are requested to inform the Association Secretary at http://secretary@kosb.co.uk at their earliest convenience, no later than Thursday 12 July. Details of required arrival time, route to the Royal Hospital Chelsea and matters of procedure will be emailed to those attending.

Following the funeral service there will be a private cremation, family only, at Lambeth.
